My success story!

My official success story! I'm so proud of this - and (in case you missed it!) have since gotten to my goal of 125! Thanks Piedmont Healthcare for sharing my story and saving my life.

  3. Awesome! Such an inspiration!!! I just got approved by insurance and hope to have surgery in March. For years, I too, was a fatathlete. I ran, I worked out, biked, but never lost weight. Then I had an injury while training for a half marathon (I weighed 250, but could run!), gained more weight and now cannot exercise. I cannot WAIT to get the first 60 lbs (I'm 312) off so I can start running again! You are my inspiration. I love all your running posts. I cannot wait to train for my first half!

  7. we're proud of you too!! so happy that this was an option for you and you made it work! so many people get these surgeries and think they're a magical fix-all and fail to realize they still have to make healthy choices and do all the work. you're such a strong person!
