I was really hoping today would be a great weigh in but TOM has barged right in and ruined it. At least it makes me laugh now after Jack's story.
I stayed the same and that's fine because I can literally feel the water weight.
Meanwhile, I'm finding my groove and celebrating a few NSV's.
1. I'm proud of myself for working 14 hour days and finding time to work out and eat right. It's been stressful at times but my husbands support has really helped. We're in this together!
2. I'm getting stronger and faster - I swam and walked on the treadmill all week and I can feel a serious difference in my speed and my stamina. Yesterday I got up to 450 calories burned. I'm hoping to break the 500 mark next week.
3. I'm also seeing some definition (a lot in the butt region)
4. My skin hasn't looked this good in a long time. Probably because I haven't had much sugar and more good fat.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Those are great victories Tina! One of my girlfriends took up swimming a couple years ago and recently her husband told me that a few months after she did, her body went from "pretty good" to "FAB-U-LOUS" (his words). I'll bet that's what's happening to you too.
ReplyDeleteGreat accomplishments! This weekend I'm on a mission to find a pool to do laps in!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Fantastic accomplishments! Isn't noticing the definition fun? I just noticed some through ribcage area this morning & my husband looked at me like I was crazy for the little happy dance I was doing around the bedroom. BUT, its been a VERY long time since I could see definition anywhere.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a good weigh in next week, minus the TOM water weight. :)
WooHoo! You go girl! That is a tough schedule to keep up. I can always tell if I'm holding water by checking my wedding ring. It normally is loose, but is totally snug if tom is around.
ReplyDeleteKeep pushing on, Tina. I think you're on the road to accomplishing great things in 2010!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for dredging up that story. It makes me giggle, too...
Great NSVs, and very significant. It's nice that you and hubby are in it together. The swimming continues to call me - thanks for the reminder it's out there!
ReplyDeleteYou sure are grooving right along! Love that you are feeling stronger - and sounds like your endurance is getting better. Congrats on seeing the NSV's even when the scale isn't showing anything.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a *wonderful* list of achievements! I'm super excited to see what 2010 holds for you. I hope working for yourself gets easier (and less time-consuming) AND I hope you see a drop on the scale next week when pesky TOM goes away!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm impressed with you. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome NSV's!! Way to go on ALL THAT EXERCISE!!! Working those long hours is tough now, but it will pay off later. :) We need to set something up soon and drag our men along! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Feeling stronger is often more of an accomplishment than seeing the scale go down. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI love those NSV's! They are ones you will never forget. Congratulations on getting faster and stronger!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had been on Oprah! How exciting. You are famous and I didn't even know it!
Yay swimming!!!! It sounds like you are doing great.
ReplyDeletesounds like you're doing good. I'm the one who told you of my experience with Lexapro....just in case you still have problems with anxiety iam now taking Klonopin for it with great results and no weight gain. This med has also helped with some mild depression I had.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Sally
I love feeling new bones & seeing definition
ReplyDeletegood way to acknowledge non scale progress.those crafty scales got all the power sometimes..
ReplyDeleteYou are SO headed for good things, Tina! Keep going - you'll be rewarded soon.
ReplyDeleteWhen TOM comes a callin' it is really hard to focus on the WINS, but you have done it quite well. Keep truckin'!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Missa

Congrats on your successes... I see a lot of minus numbers in your chart! Swimming will do the trick for you. I lost 30 pounds eating moderately and swimming laps. I'm not the fastest swimmer, so it took me a while (a few years!) but as long as the scale was inching downward, I was happy. Keep going!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work! You are on quite a schedule and still manage to write you blog!

ReplyDeleteIt's the small things that matter! I'm working on little goals as well. I was looking at weight loss blogs because this is my fifth time being in the 200's range and I'm tired of it and I hope I find inspiration from your blog to know that I'm not the only one having a hard time keeping on track.
ReplyDeleteKeep with it!
