Nothing gets your mind rolling like being stuck in your house for almost a week! I've gone out for food and that is all. I feel like a big. fat. blob.
I'm over the ice and snow. There has been no gym open. No yoga classes. Not even a prayer of being able to walk more than a few feet outside. Sure, I could have used my fancy elliptical trainer but instead I stuffed my face.
I am an addict.
I seriously used a snowstorm as an excuse to eat like a pig for more than 5 days in a row.
I could dwell on it all weekend and start again Monday but I'm picking myself back up today. Yoga studio is open and I'm going at 4:30. There is no more chocolate or potato chips in the house and it will stay that way.
Love from crazyland.
Girl, I'm in ATL too and I've done the same thing! I went a couple of times to watch the kids sled, but besides that, EATING.
ReplyDeleteFellow addict here :(
you go girl! every day is a new day!!! in fact, every MEAL is a new meal! :) have fun at yoga!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty normal reaction, given the circumstances. Kudos for getting out to yoga the day that they reopen! :)
ReplyDeleteAm so right there with you!!!! I am actually going to the gym tonight, myself...How lame is that? Gym...on a Friday night. The good news is that the cardio equipment should be free and clear!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yoga!!!! :)
Crazyland's a nice place to visit, but you don't wanna live there.
ReplyDeleteGood job picking yourself up and moving on, Tina.
way to get back up on the horse!
ReplyDeleteHey, sometimes you need a little time to remind yourself that you have control. You had your little vacation, now get back to what you know you can do!
ReplyDeleteThis morning when they were talking about Atlanta on the TV, I remembered you live there (I have a nephew there also). I thought, "It's all relative, really." We are under 2 feet of snow, the roads are not completely cleared yet, it's freaking freezing (below zero tonight) and all I want to do is eat. Sometimes you've got to just go for one good thing. I think your yoga is a great step!
ReplyDeleteNever you mind. We'll get it right off! Call me about yoga!
ReplyDeleteCongrats for getting back to your healthy routine! We all slip sometimes (and often for reasons more insignificant than a snowstorm). It's a marathon, not a sprint! You are still in the race!
ReplyDeleteGet back on the wagon, because you're making me want to eat! LOL! We can both do this! I will definitely check back in to be inspired and see how you're doing.
ReplyDeleteAw don't worry, we've all been there! You'll get back on track, no worries :)

I am sooooooooooooo over this snow/ice....not a damn thing has melted in my backyard and it's been a week!!!!! I'm over it!! As for the eating, I've been doing that for the last month and a half. That might possibly make me the Mayor of Crazyland. :) Love you girl....let's get together this week for tapas...lowfat tapas, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're doing it right, not beating yourself up about it. We all make slips, but that's all they are slips! Good Job
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time in Yoga! I can't wait to give that a try :)
I'm new to your blog, but everything is so familiar. We all fall. We all make mistakes. Good job on getting back up and moving forward.
ReplyDeleteOh, and don't call yourself names. Be kind. This is not an easy thing and you are doing it!
Love the blog. It's a new year, so anything is possible!
