7 in 7. I've learned my lesson!

I have literally kicked my own ass this week. Last night I was laying limp in a pool of my own sweat on the stretching mat and thinking about how hard I worked all week. A weeks worth of work to lose the 7 pounds I gained the 10 days previous. Totally not worth it. I have managed to lose all those pounds this week but I wish like hell they were "new" pounds. I'm going to remember this week when I'm making decisions about eating and drinking.

I'm proud of myself for what I've done this week but I have this underlying fear that I'm still working at it like there is an end to it. I'm hoping it will get easier as time goes on.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Yeah, sometimes it feels like I lose the same pound I just put on, and do it over and over again. We can win the war over our weight, it just may take us a little longer than we'd planned. Not quitting at the first sign of an "oops" is a big step in the right direction. At least that's what I'm telling myself every week.

  2. Sometimes it takes a big effort to break through that wall of complacency we all find ourselves behind from time to time.

It does get easier... but that's when you push yourself even harder.

Congrats on getting off "old" weight.

  4. Great job dropping those pounds. I hate having to lose the same few over and over, what a waste of time.

  6. Awesome job! And I love that switching your exercise routine has helped both your physical and mental health since you are avoiding traffic. Woot!

You are sweet to be cognizant of the extra work your hubby is picking up. Perhaps you can meal plan over the weekend or do some cooking in advance to reduce his workload. Many healthy recipes are freezer-friendly - then all he has to do is reheat and make a salad.

  11. It was a tough job but you got it done anyway. Good for you. Chalk it up to another lesson learned.

Know just what you mean about trying to comprehend that this is a lifetime deal and not just something until you get to a specific point. Almost like comprehending the universe for me.
