What a difference a day makes

In my 40 years I've come to realize that if you just continue to do good, it comes back to you. I've been doing more good than ever since I have time and I'm seeing some good signs on the work front. I can't make any money yet being on unemployment but I'm setting the wheels in motion for the future and getting some good response.

Now lets apply that attitude to the fat fight. If I continue to work out and eat right, the results will follow. Simple right?

I had that revelation just a few minutes ago and wanted to get that down in my blog for when I have another craptastic day. I can look back and remind myself that it's not about the numbers. I do need to measure myself. I just put that on my to-do list.

I had a 7:15 appt. with my coach and we set up my leg work out. Now that all the machines are set up the nifty little computer system, I can do my routine on my own. He will check on it every couple of weeks and up my repetitions or weight or whatever needs to be done. He agreed on the plan of the weight routines and cardio 3 days a week and swimming (or a cardio class) on 3 other days. I've never had a gym this close or a flexible schedule and I feel like I can really do this.

My husband sent me a text this morning telling me he was proud of me and that I'm inspiring him to keep going. I'm such a lucky girl.

  1. You ARE a lucky girl! What a guy!

I still contend that you're just moments away from something really great happening to you, work-wise. I don't even know you, but am certain you'd be a great asset to anyone's company, agency, whatever. Won't be long now!!

P.S. My word verification is "chant" so that's what I'm going to begin doing on your behalf. :)

  2. Aww, what a sweet hubby!

It seems like you and I are having similar "revelations" this week. Amen that when we do the right things, (a) it gets easier to keep doing them and (b) over time, you DO see results!

Congrats on working out with a trainer and your new workout program. Don't forget to celebrate and recognize your successes!

  5. Hi!

I came across your blog a little while ago, and just wanted to say hello! Your blog caught my eye, because I have RA, and can't work out much because of it. My Doctor keeps telling me to swim because it's low impact, and a great work out! Your blog intrigued me when I read you go swimming. Now I'm a regular reader of yours!

Glad to hear today was a good day for you! :0)

  7. Tina, it IS all about doing right and keeping on doing right. Results don't come after one good day or even two or three... but if you keep stringing them together, results will come.

And once that momentum picks up, the journey gets easier and much, much more fun.

Keep pushing yourself. You're doing great!

  9. I'm so jealous of your awesome hubby!! I sitll remember reading the post about the way you met and married....dripping with sappy-ness...my kinda' love story!!

You are absolutely right. Just keep doing what you know is right. I can eat like crap for a few days...see a 10 lb gain due to sodium or whatever...and if I do right for just 2 days in a row...just 2 days....I'll drop like 6-7 lbs overnight. Seriously. Just keep at it girl.

Now hop on over to my blog and pick up your award beautiful!! I'm so proud of you for getting back at it Tina!! And we MUST meet up for lunch sometime. I promised myself absolutely NO restaurant eating this week...not even for a salad...but I'm free the week after next!! lol :)

  12. Really enjoy this blog. Have you ever heard of Advocare though? Check this website out: just24days.com. It promotes the 24-day challenge: basically, a cleanse phase to get your body into a position to receive the metabolic nutrition necessary to lose weight. This system is working for a ton of people.. 10 lbs and 9 inches on average after 24 days on it. This is the real deal for nutrition and weight loss.
